Eligible children referred by a GP under a Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP) plan can claim partial Medicare rebates for up to 5 allied health therapy sessions per year.
Additionally, some children may be eligible for rebates under the M10 pathway. Children with conditions such as stuttering or speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia or cleft lip/palate may qualify. Eligible clients can access up to 8 assessment sessions and 20 treatment sessions throughout their lifetime until age 25, usable across allied health services with the same referral. Discuss with your GP for further information and eligibility.
Depending on your private health extras cover, speech pathology sessions may be partially covered. Itemised receipts are provided after payment for immediate claim processing.
